The Federation of Creative Industries has announced the results of the "Creative Industries: A Journalistic View" competition.

April 2, 2026

The Federation of Creative Industries team completed the second season of the 2nd All-Russian competition "Creative Industries: Journalistic View." In 2025, the organizers received 268 applications from journalists, bloggers, and media center representatives across Russia. A panel of experts evaluated all the entries and selected the winners in the three main categories, as well as an extended list of the best materials. The Tatneft Charitable Foundation served as the competition's general partner, and Rambler&Co. served as the strategic media partner.

The competition's geography confirmed its national status: applications came from 53 regions across the country, from capitals to small towns and district centers. Authors from Lomonosov in the Leningrad Region were particularly active, receiving 14 submissions.

Authors most often chose text formats, accounting for approximately two-thirds of all applications. Video content took second place. This confirms that journalists are increasingly using visual storytelling to engage with target audiences. Audio works are represented in smaller numbers, indicating potential for development in this area.

Participants included journalists from federal and regional media outlets, as well as aspiring authors and students. A separate category included teams from university media centers and representatives of local publications. The competition brought together both experienced correspondents and those just beginning their careers in media.

Contestants submitted individual applications with original materials on the creative industries. Publications published in media outlets, blogs, or social media during 2025 were eligible. The organizers received a total of 268 applications.

An expert jury evaluated the submissions and compiled a shortlist. Several participants scored the same number of points, so the top 10 was expanded to 15 positions. The organizers selected three winners – one in each category.

Text materials: Nadezhda Knyazeva from Penza with her work "Creative Product" for the publication "Zapovednik." Her piece received the highest average score among all participants.

Video content: Natalia Pekhtereva from Orel, correspondent for the Pervy Oblastnoy TV channel.

Audio content: Tatyana Vlasova from Lipetsk, special correspondent for the Lipetsk-FM radio channel.

Furthermore, the organizers decided to award special diplomas from the Federation of Creative Industries to several authors. They did not win in their categories, but the FCI team believes their work deserves recognition for its professionalism and depth.

"The competition demonstrated how rapidly journalism in the creative industries is developing. The participants demonstrated their ability to work with a variety of formats. "It's especially valuable that many projects not only inform but also create a new cultural agenda, supporting dialogue between society, business, and the government. It's clear that journalists are becoming full-fledged partners in the creative economy. I'm confident that the competition's best entries will set benchmarks for the industry," noted Nadezhda Plotnikova, CEO of FederalPress.

Marina Sheina, journalist, media manager, and member of the expert jury, shared her impressions of the entries:

"I'm pleased that I'm increasingly seeing what I consider to be a crucial thesis in publications about creative industries: 'collaboration is the best strategy for success.' And my highest marks in this competition were awarded to those authors who successfully conveyed the idea that only by uniting and supporting each other can creative entrepreneurs create truly strong, successful, and vibrant products and projects." And, of course, content about the creative industries will be interesting to viewers and readers if it features a hero—a charismatic, passionate, and engaging hero, for whom their work isn't just business, but the meaning of their life. This will always be in demand among audiences."

Igor M. Namakonov, CEO of the Federation of Creative Industries, congratulated the participants:

"The number of applications has doubled since last year. This is a key indicator for us, as it indicates the growing recognition and authority of our competition. From the very beginning, we understood that the journalistic community's attention to the creative industries would gradually increase. The topic is complex, multilayered, and requires the development of its own media culture. Therefore, we simultaneously monitor quantitative results and analyze the quality of materials to influence both indicators in the future. Although the second competition has only just concluded, we are already preparing for the launch of the third. We plan to significantly expand our geographic reach, attract new partners, and strengthen the competition with supporting events. "For journalists looking at creative industries, this is just the beginning."

The Tatneft Charitable Foundation served as the competition's general partner. Rambler&Co., a media holding, served as the competition's strategic media partner. DEL'ARTE Magazine, RG Media, FederalPress, and the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Tatarstan also provided informational support for the project.
