During the celebration of Russia Day, from June 10 to 12, the 1st National Creative Industries Schools Festival, «CIS Fest — 2025», will be held in Ryazan. The event is organized by the Creative Industries Federation (CIF) with partners Roskultproekt and the Government of the Ryazan Region, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The project is funded by a grant from the Russian Cultural Foundation as part of the federal program «Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure» within the national project «Family».
The organizers aim to identify and support the most talented and gifted teenagers and foster their creative activity.
A total of 39 creative industries schools passed the qualifying round, out of 70 that applied. Teams consisting of three students and one teacher will come to Ryazan.
On the first day, participants will present their homework: they will arrive with mascots already developed for Ryazan as the New Year’s Capital of 2025. Throughout the three days, the «CIS Creaton» will take place — a competition challenge that participants will learn about only on site. Each day will feature lectures, practical workshops, and masterclasses with leading experts in the creative industries. And, of course, there will be a cultural program including visits to iconic city sites and festive events dedicated to Russia Day. Delegations from across the country will attend, and for some, this will be their first visit to Ryazan.
«CIS today represents the first official step into the creative economy across the country. Schools form the educational pathway for workforce development in the creative industries. Young people, starting from age 12, have the opportunity to begin pre-professional training, solve creative business challenges, and develop both soft and hard skills. CIS is also an excellent tool to promote the sector through the graduates it produces and the projects implemented in the regions. ‘CIS Fest 2025’ is being held for the first time, with the theme ‘Developing Creative Teams.’ The festival will be a platform to showcase the creative achievements of participating schools, establish new connections, and foster professional competence development through educational and competitive formats», noted Igor M. Namakonov, CEO of Creative Industries Federation, highlighting the festival’s importance.
