CIF Launches the 2nd National Competition «Creative Industries: PressView»

The Creative Industries Federation (CIF) is launching the 2nd National competition «Creative Industries: PressView», aimed at shaping a positive image of creative sector entrepreneurs. Submissions are open to journalists, bloggers, and media centers for works produced between January and December 2025. The competition results will be announced in Q1 2026. Winners in each category will receive valuable prizes.
The first competition saw participation from journalists representing federal and regional media outlets. Winners included authors from Rossiyskaya Gazeta (RG Media Holding), the cultural magazine DEL’ARTE, and the popular science journal Positive Changes. The jury included representatives from the Association of Writers and Publishers Unions of Russia, the Russian Book Union, the Creative Practices Foundation, the Journalism Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Alpina Publisher, and others. The award ceremony was held at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
This year’s competition significantly expands both participant categories and award nominations. Participants will include professional journalists from print and online media, prominent bloggers, university and college media centers, as well as project and production centers of creative industries colleges. Entries may consist of written materials — news reports, analytical articles, and artistic essays. The jury will also review video content — vlogs, short vertical videos, news segments, programs — and audio podcasts.
The CIF aims to draw the attention of journalistic, blogging, and media communities, as well as the wider public, to the creative industries, support talented content creators, and redefine the role of journalists and bloggers as key communicators within the creative sector.
«Despite the adoption of the law on creative industries in our country, popularizing the sector remains challenging because the terminology is new, and the rules of the game in this emerging economy are still evolving. It is crucial to speak as much and as clearly as possible about creative industries. To inform people about the opportunities and features of the creative sector, we are launching the second season of the ‘Creative Industries: PressView’ competition. I invite journalists, bloggers, and media producers to participate, and media holdings and outlets to become informational partners. Creative industries in Russia are here — they just need wider recognition. Let’s work together to make that happen», said Igor M. Namakonov, CEO of Creative Industries Federation.
The competition’s general partner is the Tatneft Charitable Foundation, an organization with a strategic vision of the growing importance and value of the creative industries theme.
«Creative industries are not just the experience economy; they are a powerful driver of regional development. Through this competition, we want to highlight real heroes who create meaning, transform urban environments, and inspire others to innovate. Participants become bridges between talented innovators and ciety, helping to form an objective and inspiring image of a new generation of creative leaders. I’m confident that the best works will become not only media highlights but also practical tools for promoting creative business in Russia», said Elmira Gazizova, Director of the Tatneft Charitable Foundation.
